How to use this conversion responsibly
The linear method (CGPA ÷ max × 4) is the most common back-of-envelope conversion because it is simple and transparent — not because it is official.
No universal conversion exists: WES, individual universities and government bodies each publish their own tables, and they disagree by design.
When a university provides its own conversion rule, that rule always wins over any calculator.
